We are looking for a highly organised and detail-oriented Assistant Buyer (m/f/x) to support our Buying Team in a wide range of tasks related to procurement, product development, and sourcing. This position focuses on administrative and operational responsibilities to ensure the smooth execution of key processes and contribute to the success of our team.
In this maternity cover role, which is expected to last approximately 12-18 months, you will collaborate with various departments to ensure efficient workflows, maintain supplier relationships, and support the team in meeting business objectives. Your proactive mindset and excellent organisational skills will play a crucial part in driving our procurement and sourcing activities forward.


Your tasks
  • Assist the buying team with all administrative & data-entry tasks.

  • Coordination of inbound deliveries; liaison with warehouse & suppliers, verification of quantities, updating files & addressing any issues.

  • Purchase order raising & invoice processing.

  • Conduct quality checks for new products, documenting and reporting any issues.

  • Analyse product returns & process refurbishment requests.

  • Processing & cost tracking of warehouse assembly requests.

  • Sample management; unboxing, labelling & maintaining sample inventories.

  • Maintain knowledge repositories to support efficient collaboration

Your profile
  • Strong organisational and multitasking abilities, with keen attention to detail & willingness to learn.

  • Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal, with the ability to communicate at all levels.

  • Proficiency in Google suite (Sheets, Docs, Mail)

  • Familiarity with supply chain, product master data management, or warehouse operations is a plus.

  • Familiarity or experience using tools such as Asana or Confluence would be advantageous.

  • A proactive and adaptable mindset with a problem-solving attitude.

  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.

  • Prior experience in a similar administrative or buying assistant role is preferred.

  • Prior experience working in a start-up environment is preferred.

  • Experience with procurement or inventory management processes is preferred.

  • Ability to handle physical tasks such as unboxing and organizing samples as part of the role.
